INTRODUCTION TO NUTRISENS

RavahTech developed the “Nutrisens Service” to assist farmers who are dissatisfied with: limited data from expensive field sensors, wastage and ultimately high input costs.

The Nutrisens service was developed after more than 10 years of R&D across many crop types and it is currently operating in over 300 large and small sites in Spain, Peru, Egypt & the USA  where seasonal NO3 savings of 20% – 40%, even up to 60% for some growers, have been achieved compared to traditional strategies.

RavahTech provides its Nutrisens Service using an “AgTech-as-a-Service” business model; where our farmer customer pays an annual subscription for the information that we provide. We own, install and maintain field monitoring points consisting of sensor technologies (weather stations and soil moisture probes). In addition, each monitoring point includes our patented Nutrisens N & K probes that monitor fertilizer in the root zone and that which has leached below. In vineyards and orchards, we provide the Nutrisens PRO Service which includes a dendrometer for monitoring plant nutrient uptake.

The field data from the 24/7 monitoring points and regular sample points are combined with remote sourced data and artificial intelligence. The product of the combined data is smart, simple, intelligent information used by trained agronomy consultants to assist growers to make plant nutrition decisions. The decisions result in increased profits while promoting better sustainability and compliance.

Through our Nutrisens service in irrigated crops, guess work is eliminated for optimum and repeatable irrigation and fertigation processes. For rain-fed farming systems, the accurate measurement of leached nitrogen and your root-zone potassium levels will assist you in making better decisions around your fertilizer application strategies going forward.
